As I drew this, Daniel slept.  Fun fact: I drew this at 2 pm.
When he says he's tired, it honestly doesn't compute.  How?  I-I can't think of a good reason except that he has some terrible disease.  I hope he doesn't.

I feel like I'm now obligated to say that Jacob is not actually really creepy.  It's just a lot of fun to portray him as such.  That's not to say that these comics about him are inaccurate, it's just that there's more to him.

You WINNED

GUYS!  The game War of the Ring is FREAKING AWESOME.  So much better than risk in how it's made and how it works, though admittedly the rules are extensive.  This scene did happen in that I lost a battle I SHOULD NOT have lost, though Daniel's reaction here is slightly hyperbolic.

For the record, though, I won the game.  As the bad guys.  SAURON IS MY RULER.

This was way too much fun to draw.  Also, my blender is my favorite appliance in our dorm, which is why it merited a label.

And a for me, the funny thing is that I don't even set my alarm clock any more because I have this weird internal clock that wakes me up.  However, if something else, such as Daniel's alarm, wakes me up I subconsciously blame my clock and pound the living daylights out of it.

Though to be honest, I'm pretty happy for those too, there a cute couple in the way that they're occasionally not cute at all (like this comic).  And yes, I am accustomed to being a third wheel to them, it really doesn't bother anyone, unless I'm feeling lonely.

Kirsten!

PHEW!  MY scanner just started working again THIS MORNING, which is why the update is a wee bit late... SOWWY!

So here's our good friend Kirsten!  I checked with her before finishing this comic, and she says it's accurate, so I don't need to describe her too much.  She and Daniel both sorta make fun of my lack of fashion, since it's something I just don't have a knack for.  Though of the two, I'd say Kirsten is even more into it.  Uhh, if you like this sort of thing, she has a fashion blog at http://kawaiilovekiki.blogspot.com/.  It's sort of a Japanese thing thing stuff.  I don't know, not my world.

This is the most nervous I've been while doing this comic.  Adding a girl?!  I can't draw girls!  What am I thinking?!

It's that clock

This is purely fiction.  Daniel actually keeps his alarm not right next to his bed, but rather a few feet away from it.  I think the original intention was to get him on his own feet to shut it off, which would effectively get him out of bed, but what has really happened is that he's learned to sleep through it and I get up and shut it off in disgust because I don't have to wake up as early as him.

Also, my scanner is on the fritz again, but I'm hoping that it'll be fixed before my buffer comics run out, so I don't have to do any stupid computer paint ones again.

Chaos inhabitance

Me and Daniel have indeed moved into a new dorm together a 3 other guys that we didn't know prior.  I don't know whether or not they'll be in it except for the guy in the background who never stops talking.  That's our roommate Devon.  This is a pretty accurate portrayal of him.
But yes, I am ashamed to say my first act while moving in was to spill detergent all over the carpet.  The next morning I spilled bacon grease all over the kitchen floor, though that was easier to clean up, really.

So I'm hoping me and Daniel's coinhabitance will create more material for my comics here.  I'll be adding the girlfriend he's had since Fall pretty soon once I work up the nerve to actually draw a woman.

Aaron P. 3

Is that a ... tazer I have?  Aaron, why am I so cruel?  And Daniel's line suggest's that they're BOTH clones!?  Well that makes sense, since Aaron's still on his mission.  It's the ambiguity of the art that makes it so classy!
Welp, that's the end of the guest strips from Aaron for now.  On Monday I'll be back from my hiatus and I've already got some ideas and such ready, so that'll be a treat I hope!  I'll vainly remind you that linking my comics to places makes Khail a happy boy!

Aaron returns P. 1

Good news everybody!  My friend Aaron wrote me and graciously wrote me some guest strips!  What a guy!  Also, my scanner is working again, and I don't know why!!!  Daniel says it was thanks to him.  Good for you Daniel!

Are you confused?  Why IS there two Aaron's?  Well, Mr/Ms/Mrs I-don't-keep-myself-updated-on-webcomics, read THIS comic and it will explain it to you.  Seriously, keep up though!  So the good news is that IWEARFEDORA is coming back online!  This week will be covered by Aaron, the wonderful chap (who's art has changed slightly since I saw it last, and I like it!) and then I will be back next week with my less artful comics!  So you can come back now, I meant no offense!

Oh and the minecraft knockoff thing was something Aaron did.  Every game ever was a minecraft knockoff.  Oh, how I miss him.

Cheater Sketches

        This one might be my most pathetic attempt to cover up the "I-really-can't/won't-do-a-comic-right-now" comic... heh heh heh, sorry.  Wednesday will feature a real comic, PROMISE! 

        This is the concept art that was made for me and Daniel in my friend Aaron's comic My Skinny Jeans Are Red which was the inspiration for my comic here (As I did a guest strip or two for him and just kept making them until it developed into I Wear Fedora).  I still don't like the polo he put on me.  Anyway this means something to me because it's sort of the beginning of my little pet project here, so now I'm going to tell you about another one!

       There's this silly little trend amongst people who play Minecraft (if this doesn't interest you yet, it won't for the rest of this post, so you can probably be done now) with tumblr "ask" blogs.  Basically, comic writers create a persona based on a Minecraft entity (be it a player or a monster) and answer the questions given.  One of the most popular ones right now is AskEnderbro because it updates REALLY frequently and has strong characters.  However, if you look, you can find an ask blog for just about any creature from Minecraft.

Except (so far as I can tell) the villagers in the randomly spawned village.  So I'm planning on doing one for them.  Fame at last.  I'm not sure when it'll start, and if no one likes it, then screw that I'll give it up.

Cheater Strip: Rewrite 2

Daniel likes to take the comics I write that have captions and entirely change what they say.  It usually ends up like this.  Although I find it kind of hilarious that he didn't misspell anything in the comic, and yet managed to spell his own name wrong at the bottom.

         Daniel's been trying to convince me to buy skinny jeans for quite awhile now, but I always resisted, with comfortableness as my prime defense.
But he used the secret weapon of bringing a girl shopping with us and she regrettably swayed me.  Turns out skinny jeans are pretty comfortable themselves, but I'm one step closer to being a hipster now...

That reminds me, I lost my scarf!!!

And personally, I really like my new template, so you should to.  I'm a cool kid and you should do what cool kids do.  Fer serious!

Tablet Part 3

     I got permission from Daniel to do that.  And to be perfectly honest, he's Asian-Australian, but I wasn't sure how I could stereotype that in a drawing.  Phew, it's been forever since I've done a manga picture.  It probably shows.

Right!  The tablet!  After my vacation back home I forgot to pack my pen so I did this one with my art supplies and it led me to a decision.

AN IMPORTANT DECISION:

     I am not going to use my tablet for drawing iwearfedora any more.  It's an experimental comic strip, and    I've come to the decision that I want to keep it in analog drawing (even if it means I'm going to have

to continue to use my scanner).
     What I AM doing with my tablet is planning out a NEW SECOND COMIC!!!   WOO!!  It's still in developmental stages and it's art form will be a bit simpler.  Also, I won't be in it, it'll just be mostly fiction.
